  The H.U.G.S. Mission

H.U.G.S. 4 Childhood Cancer is dedicated to fighting for a day where no child ever has to hear the words "you have cancer." We believe that we can help them get stronger one hug at a time. H.U.G.S. focuses on legislative awareness, family support, and community outreach.

Our Story

Founded by the Adams Family in 2019, H.U.G.S. 4 Childhood Cancer was born from personal experience and a deep understanding of the realities families face after a childhood cancer diagnosis. What began as a family’s response to a devastating disease has grown into a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to advocacy, awareness, and hope for children and families across the country.

Childhood Cancer Fast Facts

Childhood cancer remains the leading cause of death by disease among children in the United States, and every day, approximately 42 families hear the life-changing words that their child has cancer. Despite these staggering numbers, childhood cancer remains underfunded and underrecognized—fueling our commitment to be a strong, persistent voice for change.
